Instructions for the Transfer of Stock Gifts
The electronic transfer of stock is the preferred way
in which to receive gifts of stock.
Donating a gift of stock to Whitehead Institute for
Biomedical Research is most easily accomplished by an
electronic transfer performed at the donor’s request
by the donor’s broker.
In order to complete the transfer, the donor will need
to provide their broker with the following information:
1) Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research is a
501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, so gifts are tax-deductible
as allowed by law. Transfers must be made to the Whitehead
Institute for Biomedical Research account listed below.
2) Delivery instructions for stock transfer to the
Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research account
at UBS Financial Services are:
DTC#: 0221
Account #: JJ 03636
Account Name: Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research
3) Our contacts at UBS Financial Services are Phil
Howlett, stockbroker, and Bobbie Bastarache (Phil’s
