Shuttle bus service to Kresge Auditorium will be available
for all Whitehead Symposium registrants, and will leave
every half-hour from Whitehead Institute’s Nine
Cambridge Center location.
Exit Kendall Square T stop (located on the Red Line
subway system) and walk away from Boston (away from
the river) on Main Street. Walk two blocks up to second
intersection (Vassar St. and Main). Make a left onto
Vassar Street (passing MIT’s Stata Building).
Continue straight down Vassar to next intersection (Massachusetts
Ave. and Vassar). Make a left onto Mass Ave. There will
be a giant quad on the right where the MIT Student Center
is located. Kresge is the large building with the dome
roof across from the MIT Student Center.
Public parking
Parking is not available at Kresge Auditorium. There
are three public parking facilities located close to
the auditorium:
The Lot at Vassar
(Located on the corner of Mass. Ave and Vassar, next
to the Bank of America vestibule)
University Park Hotel at MIT
(Located on Mass Ave. a few blocks down from Kresge
Auditorium)
The Hyatt Hotel
(With two entrances, one on Vassar Street and the
other on Memorial Drive)
