Public Programs
Whitehead Institute hosts a variety of public outreach
and educational programs. These programs range in scope
from lectures to special events
for non-scientists. For more than a decade, Whitehead
also has hosted special programs for teachers
and high school
students as part of our Partnership for Science
Education.

Whitehead Institute's One-Day Workshop:
"A Girl's Guide to Understanding Life Science"
Whitehead Institute’s pilot introductory science program for middle school girls. Registration is required. [girls workshop]
Seminar Series for High School Teachers
This monthly program offers educators the opportunity
to explore new topics at the forefront of biomedical
research. The series begins in October and lectures are
held the first Monday of every month through June. Registration is required. [teacher program]
Spring Lecture Series for High School
Students
This program offers students an opportunity to learn about
cutting edge topics in biomedical research. The three-day
program, held over spring vacation, features lectures
from leading scientific experts, laboratory demonstrations,
visits to local biotech companies, and opportunities
